Over the past several years deer have become the #1 pest of horticultural crops in most of the U.S., as well as of home gardens and landscaped grounds, in both suburban and rural communities. Countless types of repellents have been tried with varying degrees of short-term success but excluding deer, by fencing them out, has been grower-proven to be the only successful method providing long-term deer control.
Our fence is a high-strength, weather-resistant, polypropylene, mesh grid that has become the deer control method of choice for keeping deer out of garden areas or entire properties without changing the aesthetics of the site. Unlike metal fencing, it is much less visible and matches in almost naturally with the surrounding landscape. The almost invisible look of the fence is invaluable to landowners, because deer have a very hard time seeing at, as well, which makes it extremely difficult to jump it.
Our fence stands at 7.5’ high. The base of the fence is a 3’ border of black, vinyl-coated and galvanized fence, so that it retains its natural look, but keeps rodents with sharp teeth from chewing their way through the base. This is an extremely effective installation method and is ideal for enclosing large areas of your property. Installation is easier and the costs are much less than with metal fences. The light-weight mesh fencing attaches to trees and posts. We use locust posts, as well as the metal posts. The locust provides a natural look that fits beautifully with its outdoor surroundings. Our fencing also provides easy entry into your fenced enclosure via high quality access gates.

The government also provides funds to landowners for up to 75% of the costs of fence installation. The funding is available on a person-to-person basis, until the new Farm Bill is passed. Give us a call today, and we can get the paperwork started to see if you would be eligible for financial assistance.
This is a free service provided by FMC to landowners.
